I was told Aronld's likeness came with the T3 license,...did'nt have to do with being a public figure,...
In regards to the Arnold likeness....
It may have been a $$$ or unwillingness issue, but when he became a public figure his likeness became a publicly accessible thing.
This may be why we finally got his likeness for T3... as well as he might have wanted his face everywhere for the campaign.
In regards for people needing Jon to explain why things are the way they are... I say "let them wallow in their ignorance"... It was pretty obvious to me.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">My question is that if that was the deal for TCM figures, why not make it its own 7" line, and fill out the rest of MM7 with characters fans have actually been asking for? When securing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre license one of the requirements was that we would make four figures from the film.
McFarlane has done this as recently as the Terminator 3 line.
There are A LOT of other licenses that're still up for grabs that could sell more than an old man in a wheel chair or a cop figure-- I'm relatively sure of this.
The marketing people would probably have a harder time getting Meijers and Toys R Us to pick up a line with "Chainsaw Massacre" in the title....
... even though they'd sell the same figures with "Movie Maniac" on the marquee.

I think WE are the lucky bastards in this whole situation. for years Todd and the crew have been forcing other company to work there asses of and upgrade there product. Now we have a company that forces Todd and crew to stay alert and we get more product or comparable quality OR interest at the same time.
I'm all for it and I'm happy about N3CA's rising.
